Quilting Club
One of our members, Shirley Mason, (below) is an avid quilter who has made many, many quilts over the years, even making her own designs. She has graced many family members and friends with her beautiful creations. She works along with many members and non-members on the 3rd Monday afternoon of every month fellowshipping and working on their numerous sewing projects.
Shirley’s latest project is working with Shepherd’s House in Wausau who donates beds for needy children with their “Beds for Kids” project. She has been making twin-sized quilts for the beds they give away and has been able to provide nine quilts so far. Shirley says “Part of the reason I started to make them (the quilts for the “Beds for Kids”) was to use up my stash of fabric, but the more I make, the more fabric the Lord sends my way. So I guess He wants me to keep on going.”
If you would like to be a part of this worthy project with Shirley, be sure to ask her how you can get involved!
